How to fix fake serial key error in idm

here is a tutorial how to solve fake serial key error in idm after updating cracked version or crack idm when you are connected to internet

here is the way to solve it =>

STEP 1=>  

Download the IDM, then click on Registration.

STEP 2=>

          A dialog box will appear asking for Name, Last Name, Email Address and Serial Key.

          Now Enter you name, last name, email address and in field of Serial Key enter any of the following Keys:

STEP 3=> 

After clicking, if  it will show error message that you have registered IDM using fake serial key and IDM will exit, then click on ok.

STEP 4=>

           Now Go to the path C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Open hosts file with notepad.
Now copy the below lines of code and paste it to below 127.0.0.1 localhost
                                    127.0.0.1 tonec.com
                                    127.0.0.1 www.tonec.com
                                    127.0.0.1 registeridm.com
                                    127.0.0.1 www.registeridm.com
                                    127.0.0.1 secure.registeridm.com
                                    127.0.0.1 internetdownloadmanager.com
                                    127.0.0.1 www.internetdownloadmanager.com
                                    127.0.0.1 secure.internetdownloadmanager.com
                                    127.0.0.1 mirror.internetdownloadmanager.com
                                    127.0.0.1 mirror2.internetdownloadmanager.com

Save it.

you can download host file without editing it and placed host file in etc folder from here .(strongly recommended for windows vista,7&8 user because he will not able to edit host file but he can replace the host file downloaded from here)

          STEP 5 =>

           now open idm again it will ask you to fill name e-mail address,serial key then fill that and click on ok

note: after clicking on ok if it will ask you that your host file is changed or damaged click on continue to repair or cancel  then click on cancel instede  of clicking on continue

by clicking on continue it will not converted into full version

Now check IDM, it should be converted to full version.

Note: In Windows 7 sometimes it denied access to write anything on hosts file, so first you must be logged in as Administrator and then change the file permissions of hosts file.
